Depending on how your Birth/Labor went, bonding with your new baby can be a challenge, especially as a first-time parent. Everything is so new to you, and definitely an adjustment.
It's important to take care of yourself and accepting help from family, friends, and postpartum doula.
You may become very tired from all the new responsibilities that come with having a new baby. Let friends, family, or a Postpartum Doula take on routine chores like laundry, grocery shopping, and cooking.
A Postpartum Doula can help you with so much, while you are trying to get into your new routine, and adjusting to motherhood as a new mom or caring for your older children.
You may even sleep, shower, or relax and allow your Doula to take care of the rest!
If you already have older children, a Doula can help take care of them and play with them. and help with food preparation while you are nursing the baby, or just taking some time to relax.
