Having a Doula and your partner's support during childbirth has been found to improve the whole birth experience. Women who receive good social support during labor and childbirth, tend to have shorter labors, control their pain better, and have less need for medical intervention. Having good support during your pregnancy and birth can change the whole process of your birthing experience in the best way! Birth can be a hard experience for women, especially first births. It is important to feel heard and respected throughout your pregnancy and birth. Helping a woman to be as relaxed as possible and aware of her situation can help minimize the physical pain and emotional distress of labor and birth.
